We’re a small council in a historic Church with big ideas and a heart to restore our sacred space.

MEET THE BUILDING COUNCIL

Our People

Deacon

Cynthia Garrett

The Construction Team Leader/

Rise & Restore Project Manager

The building council is laying the foundation and making the preparations to receive miracles and blessings from God.  The Construction Team acts as a technical group responsible for the physical execution of the building project, serving as the primary liaison between the church, Building Council, the architect, and the contractor.

The construction team will receive our statistical foundation from the Survey team and the Program recommendations of the Program team to ensure the design meets the ministry needs of the congregation and community.

Amber Garrett

The Communications Team Leader

The Merged Communications and Publicity Team is the heartbeat of the Rise & Restore campaign, dedicated to capturing the spirit and telling the story of our historic sanctuary's renewal. Operating with one heart, one mind, one passion, and one spirit, our creative team turns our preservation needs into a shared mission that inspires our entire congregation and our community.

We serve as the bridge between you and the building council, ensuring that all official campaign updates and information come directly through our team. Whether you are reading the story in a beautifully crafted print brochure, watching the vision unfold through captivating videos on our website, or witnessing the progress on vibrant displays throughout our building, it is our prayer that you will feel the momentum and excitement of this sacred project.

Together, we are making sure that the legacy of Queen Street Baptist Church is not just remembered, but powerfully experienced the moment anyone walks through our doors.

Vincent Pugh

The Support Team Leader

Our mission is to serve every team by ensuring the campaign's operational infrastructure functions smoothly and effectively. We work diligently to keep the campaign organized, connected, and well-supported, ensuring that the progress remains aligned with the church's overall ministry vision, mission, and communication strategy.

Deacon

Dr. Angelina Hopkins

The Survey Team Leader

The Merged Survey & Cluster Team is responsible for the foundational research and congregational analysis required to launch the restoration project effectively. Their work provides a "foundation of a meaningful building experience" by allowing the congregation to see its past and present clearly before projecting future goals.

Terrie Pugh

The Program Team Leader

The Program Committee, which functions as part of the Merged Children’s, Student, and Program Committee in your current structure, is responsible for the "prophetic task" of defining the church's future ministries and translating those needs into physical space requirements for the architect. Their work ensures that the building is viewed as a tool designed to support the mission of the church rather than just a construction project.

Emily Land

The Finance Team Leader

Behind every great vision is a plan to make it a reality. Our Finance & Living the Covenant Team is dedicated to stewarding our resources with absolute transparency, clarity, and care. From managing the budget to ensuring every dollar turns into real progress, this team serves as the vital lifeline of Rise and Restore. We are here to keep everyone on track, fully informed, and to ensure our financial foundation is just as secure as our spiritual one!
